Within three weeks of initiating our appeal to fund the "Say 'no' to shark fin soup" billboards in China, we have met our goal! In just three weeks, hundreds of you met the call, aided by the matching grant from our generous donor. The billboards will now be installed in Beijing and Shanghai beginning this month.

Also this month, the rest of the campaign featuring Yao Ming will be released in China by WildAid, including a television commercial, and the web site and grassroots campaigns that we developed for the effort. We will be providing more information about that, shortly.

The enthusiasm for the billboards continues, and so the campaign to raise more funds continues. We are already well on our way to adding a third city to this billboard campaign! Would you consider buying a billboard as a holiday gift for someone special? We will create a personalized certificate to honor the person you wish. If you buy one for yourself, the certificate will be in your name. These are digital certificates which we will email to you so that you have them in time for the holidays. They are suitable for printing and framing.

Updated note: We are still collecting funds for the broader "Say 'no' to shark fin soup" campaign, but not specifically for billboards. As appropriate media vehicles become available in China, we hope to be able to take advantage of opportunities with the help of your continued generosity.
