In this section, we suggest ways that anyone, no matter what level of time commitment, can help to save sharks. From writing letters to taking a pledge to starting a local chapter of Shark Savers, we have some ideas for how to get involved.

And if you don't have the time or inclination to be active, please consider donating money to support our programs.

Help stop shark fin soup
Demand for shark fin soup is the primary driver of shark over-fishing. Here are some steps you can take to help stop consumption of shark fin soup.

Stop shark products
Visit local stores that sell shark products. Write to the manufacturers of those products.

Create or participate in a local Shark Savers campaign
Would you like to organize or participate in shark conservation actions in your area?

Host a Sharkwater party
A great way to introduce your friends and family to the issues of shark conservation is by hosting a party to show Sharkwater, the feature documentary by Rob Stewart.

Be an advocate for sharks

Research on sharks and enforcement of fishing regulations
These areas are beyond Shark Savers' direct mission, but we have some suggestions if this is your interest.
