Please know that my wife and I will not take an expensive diving vacation in the Maldives (which we have considered) as long as shark fining is allowed there. Please know that people like me who travel and dive each year are passionate about protecting sharks from extinction and understand the need for sharks in a healthy ecosystem and planet. Allow shark fining repulses divers worldwide and will significantly harm your brand image. Please ban this detrimental practice immediately.

We plan on visiting your country in the future to dive. If we thought that there was no respect from your country for your most valuable sharks, I doubt that we would still come. Thank you so very much for protecting these treasures.
