sharksoftheworld2.pngThe second edition of one of our favorite books is now available for purchase! "Sharks of the World is the essential book for everyone interested in sharks, from the expert requiring a major reference work, to the layperson fascinated by their beauty, biology and diversity."

This book is the perfect combination of science and art. We can’t wait to get our copy, and we recommend it to ‘shark savers’ everywhere. There are unique colorful illustrations, descriptions, and photographs of over 500 of the world's shark species. Over a decade of research and collaboration by David Ebert, Sarah Fowler and Leonard Compagno, each experts in various shark related fields, along with renowned natural history illustrator, Marc Dando resulted in this one-of-a-kind, must-have shrk reference book!

Since 2012, our SharksCount team has used the Sharks of the World book (1st Edition) as our primary reference to research and develop our regional shark ID sheets for our citizen science Program. We are honored to partnered with illustrator Marc Dando and renowned marine photographers to provide our recreational divers and ‘shark counters’ with most accurate and detailed visual tools to help more accurately log their shark sightings.
