ban-the-fin-logo200.gifThere is momentum for protecting sharks, as we have seen with recent legislation to ban the shark fin trade in Hawaii, Washington State, Oregon, Guam, CNMI, and the pending bill in California. How can we move more broadly towards banning the shark fin trade?

Shark Savers has launched the Ban the Fin campaign. The purpose of Ban the Fin is to provide tools and a platform for individuals and groups to take a stand and ensure their communities are not contributing to the worldwide decimation of sharks. Individuals and groups could declare their communities to have 'banned the fin', and they can work towards a more significant ban at local and state levels.
